We like to say that we are turning a classic case study
of engineering, landscape architecture, and urban design into a theater
of dynamic evolution.
The project chronicles the divers, layered, complex, and exciting
roles and expressions that the landscpae has fulfilled. It explores
the project as a singular urban infrastructure that has served the
entire city --throughout its urban history, for over 225 years.
The following synopsis demonstrates the numersou roles that the
Fens has fulfilled for the city and how those roles have continuously
evolved over time in response to the city--a wonderfully reciprocal
and productive relationship.
