And finally in the 1980s the Fens took on another infrastructural
role, as a repository of history--an important symbol of the city's
renewed valuing of history, landscape architecture, and in particular,
Olmsted.
Seen here is the Agassiz Bridge, after restoration from plans prepared
by Pressley Associates, the primary landscape architectural firm that
prepared the plan for the restoration of the Emerald Necklace.
