As fascinating and important as the visible world of the Fens is,
its unseen, underground world has always been vital to its success.
This animation, executed by Andrew Grote with Rodrigo Abela, shows
another level of the Fens' content. It is not only about graceful,
sinuous forms, but that it is also about the function of the unseen
mechanics--cutting edge technology in its day. Together the nonhuman
created and human ingenuity allow the Fens to be such an inventive
landscape.
Note: the full movies are much sharper than those included in this
demonstration--which we delivered at a quicker frame rate and smaller
size for serving efficiency and viewer convenience.
