Research
My research takes many forms. Some is traditional text and image analysis. Other work is case based, explicating innovative and landmark examples in the built environment. Much of the research is completed through "doing," through drawing, painting, and making through various media. And the Back Bay Fens project attempts to craft new research methods using digital technology; using historical and contemporary maps linked to a robust database, the project demonstrates how we might approach urban design as an historical process and the city as an evolutionary endeavor.
