Nodes should support mixed text and graphics with full formatting abilities. We view other media as being non-essential to effective hypertext fictions, though they may be attractive in some cases. The number of supported file formats need not be large, as long as they are well chosen. The author should not be limited by restrictions on the amount of text a node can hold.
