Topics to be covered:
I. Concepts

1--How a scanner takes pictures and how those pictures appear
on the Web
- 2--File formats (tif, gif, jpg)
- 3--Image management (naming conventions, storage options)
- 4--Image dispay (when to use gifs and jpgs, when to use in-line
and out-of-line images, etc.)
II. Practicalities (this will take the bulk of the time)
- 1--A quick walk-through of Photoshop
- 2--Using Photoshop to scan an image
- 3--Using Photoshop to manipulate an image
- 4--Saving and uploading images
- 5--Using images in Web documents
This is just a brief list of what will be covered. A more
thorough review of items discussed can be added to the Web
after the class. Students can use this for their own review.
