ENWR 101 / Section 6
Places to Begin Exploring the Web
Fall 1995
University of Virginia
General Interest
What follows is a handful of some of the literally thousands of sites
available to you on the World Wide Web. Actually, there were more than
different sites at last count. For the closest thing we have to a
comprehensive Web directory and index, go to the Yahoo! catalog. Once you're there, just follow your
interests.
We will visit some of these sites during class--others, such as
Webster's Dictionary
and Roget's
Thesaurus should prove interesting and useful to you throughout the
semester. Spend some time browsing, and get a sense of what's out there
for you to take advantage of.
