The film captures their discussions and efforts to find new common experiences with each other. Filmed in Hanoi, Hue, DaNang and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).

The filmmakers revisit many individuals they had filmed just after the fall of Saigon, and note that Vietnam cannot forget America because the mark our country has made there is indelible.

The dances range, in type, from the "Dance of the Phoenix," which represents "a peaceful era" to the "Fishermen Dance" and the "Thai Dance" which each celebrate natural phenomena, to the "Fighting Dance of the Bahnar," which depicts the valiant fighting spirit of the Bahnars.
