The University of Virginia Museum Educational Site Licensing
Project (UVA MESL)
is a cooperative project of the University Library, Information
Technology and
Communications, and the Institute for Advanced Technology in the
Humanities, in
cooperation with the McIntire Department of Art. The Museum Educational
Site
Licensing Project is a national demonstration project sponsored by the
Getty Information
Initiative to address key issues in the educational use of museum images
and
related information delivered over computer networks. The pilot project
will test
the distribution of art images and information from seven museums to
seven
universities, including the University of Virginia.
