Commentary:
This third version of the West Range is a revision of N-305. Jefferson has maintained the final arrangement of Hotels and Dormitories shown on the earlier drawing, but he moved the entire range of buildings further to the west, allowing for larger gardens with serpentine walls and privies. (JML)
