The team will be developing the Master Planting Plan by working from the Master Plan prepared by Rhodeside & Harwell, Inc. in 1999. We are clarifying the position expressed in the Master Plan on the meanings and techniques of “historical restoration.” We are applying more detailed and specific understandings of Olmsted principles and techniques. We will also develop a more articulated strategy for design regarding the relationship between the 1891 intentions and contemporary conditions.
