The project proposes a landscape that expresses what is public about Columbus and this site: a particular geographic location, the ongoingnatural systems and their associated phenomenal aspects, the pattern of its built urban structures, and the mythology of its cultural history.

The project challenges the typological categorization of urban landscapes as “park,” “plaza,” “community garden,” “garden,” or “meadow.” The design attempts to derive a unique, sythetic physical solution that is wonderfully ambiguous.
