The Back Bay/Fenway area gains a new fire suppression system. Instead of using the city's precious potable water, the system rehabilitates a 19th c. seawater fire supression system.

It accomplishes this by taking water from the Stony Brook conduit through an Archimedian Screw located at the end of the conduit at the Stony Brook Gatehouse just before it would enter the Gatehouse.
