The studio will communicate with a landscape architectural seminar offered in parallel at Harvard's Graduate School of Design via a website, a shared field trip, and the instructors participating on one another's reviews.

The studio will also interact with those in Boston whose jobs and passions the Fens is on a daily basis, many of whom have been involved for years. And since the project is meant to be operative, meant to affect change, it will share its proposals for the Fens' alternative futures with Boston.

At key points in the semester, each student will post her work on the World Wide Web so that all of the parties involved in the Fens' redesign can glean ideas for the Fens' possible alternative futures.
