On my honor . . .

The University honor code is taken seriously. We will abide by the honor code rules, including the following specifics. Class materials provided by the instructor belong to everyone, all the time. Therefore, it is each student's responsibility to ensure that everyone knows their whereabouts. Ideas are common, and sharing or borrowing of ideas is encouraged! The formal manifestation of ideas is not common, mandating that borrowed ideas must undergo true transformation to become the creations of individuals. Any idea, whether borrowed from a classmate, a critic on a review, a critic in the literature, a consultant, an instructor, or a dead designer, should be credited to its creator. The only exception to this standard is when students use text information or images provided by the instructor where the source information is not available.
