Studio Philosophy Instructor's Responsibilities For the instructor successful administration of the studio is dependent upon meeting the following criteria: 1 Clear structuring of project and reasonable time periods within which for students to accomplish work expected. 2 Prepared classes: clear content and organization. 3 Promptness and attendance of all scheduled studios (and the best notification of when she is sick as possible). 4 Outside of class availability: instructor availability during office hours and reasonable additional time. 5 Respectful treatment of students, fostering of a productive and creative environment. 6 Clear evaluation of work: 1) feedback provided throughout semester through verbal communication and grades; 2) criteria for grading made clear beforehand and evaluations made clear. 7 Concern for efficient learning: balance between offering information and student self-teaching that is reasonable for project. 8 Teaching assistant accomplishes her/his work in timely manner. 9 Demonstrated love of teaching and learning
