| Selected
areas of the Fens are dredged to both clean the Muddy River and to uncover
the history. In addition, other selected areas are reconstructed into a
series of cleansing swales for street runoff and stormwater outlets. Together,
the two areas form a "Sediment Necklace" to be incorporated into
the larger Emerald Necklace.
