My mother says in the beginning my name was to be Samara Meredith. It was only just before I was born that my grandmother referred to me as "Sammy"; my mother decided she did not like the nickname and in switching the order of the two names I became Meredith Samara. My father, however, denies this ever happened and claims I have been Meredith Samara from the very start.
