Genesis 3.14


Hebrew: The Lord God said to the serpent, "Because you did this, More cursed shall you be Than all cattle And all the wild beasts: On your belly shall you crawl And dirt shall you eat All the days of your life. 15. I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your offspring and hers; They shall strike at your head, And you shall strike their heel."

Greek: And the Lord God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, you are more cursed than all the cattle and than all the wild beasts of the earth. You will go about on your breast and upon your stomach and you will eat earth all the days of your life.

Old Latin: The Lord God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, cursed are you above all cattle and above all beasts upon the earth. Upon your breast and your belly shall you go, and earth shall you eat all the days of your life.

Vulgate: And the Lord God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, you are cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon your belly shall you go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life.

Peshitta: And the Lord God said to the snake, "Because you have done this, cursed you are more than all the domestic animals and more than all the beasts of the field.. And upon your belly you shall go and dust you shall eat all the days of your life.. I will set enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed.. He will crush your head and you will smite his heel."
