Old Stony Brook in Flood Overflowing Into the Fens
How sewage on rare occasions gets into the Fens: Sewage flows down Stony Brook Valley Sewer, while stormwater is flowing down West Roxbury Low Level Sewer. When the flood is too big, combined stormwater/sewage flows to Stony Brook Interceptor and into Old Stony Brook Conduit. When it gets to the Fens Gatehouse #2 (Gatehouse for Old Stony Brook Conduit) , it overtops the weir on the gate (which is now permanently shut).
