The mirror world dances, as the landscape continues to disappear into itself. Inside, behind the scenes, the bobbins that hold the flat scrolls of this painted world whirl, back and forth, revealing appropriate parts of the missing landscape at the right moments. It is all seamless, except for the creak of the cloth as it rubs against the guide bars, at top and bottom of the landscape frame. |
