A crew working on a mobile Pershing.... wheel it anywhere, and it's still accurate within a few feet at the other end. Sometimes, arbitrarily, these missiles will go up, make a quickturn, and land nose down on the launch pad they came from (a profoundly strange experience for any witness, since there isn't any impact... the missile just floats down, and then stands there, ballerina balanced on the tip of its nose, on the concrete pad.) |
