Jacob, standing far away in the cave, still looking up. Perhaps the back of his neck is supported by the collar of his helmet, so it is easy for him to walk around always looking up at the roof of the cave, where waves of hot air dance and the bees stare down with shining eyes, like the octopus in its ocean cave clacking its beak while staring through a near-human eye at the lost fish murmuring below (actually above, but the octopus can't tell the difference, and in this case the bees probably can't either. And it is nearly certain that soon Jacob won't either, as he makes the sad transition from costumed hero to lost octopus or fish). |
