Over the shoulder shot of a switchboard operator, Ella disguised as someone else. This is a person met long ago in this movie, the woman who jacks one place together to another, in mechanical imitation of the labor saving device developed not so many years later, the world's first digital computer, aka the telephone company's newly automatic switching machines. Using her hands, Ella-alternate here works hard, plugging all unintersected nodes together, for cloud-like, packet-switched communication of voidal thoughts.
