Many plans for the Academical Village have been made over the years which has helped to shape in both the architectural and the popular mind the image of the University. Perhaps the most popular were the various incarnations of the so-called Maverick Plan (N382, 383, 384, 385). This plan was part of a fund-raising endeavor in the 1820s and has and continues to be widely reproduced. The degree of accuracy show in the various plans varies. This file as it developes will contain various plans for the University. (rgw)
