Studio Philosophy

Participants' Responsibilities

For students successful completion of the studio is dependent upon meeting the following criteria:

1 Maintaining a positive environment within the studio.

2 Completion of assignments on due dates unless agreed upon in advance with the class and the instructor.

3 Contributing consistently and positively to the work of studio colleagues. In part this means sharing ideas. In part this means completion of the majority of work within the studio. Some work away from the studio is understandable and even desirable. However, it should not constitute the majority of one's work.

4 Studio attendance every day unless you are ill. And if you are ill, you are expected to make up your responsibility to the studio through agreement with your classmates and the instructor.

5 Attendance of and participation in the entirety of reviews.

6 Attendance of and participation in the entirety of the Boston field trip.

7 Consistent progress on development of work rather than producing most of your work in the time immediately preceding reviews.
