  5. Design workshops or "charrettes", which bring together a diverse group for intensive working sessions, are a methodology that have grown increasingly widespread in recent design practice. They have proved to be extremely valuable in rapidly generating innovative ideas while simultaneously considering a wide diversity of opinions and positions. They are now commonly sponsored by organizations ranging from the Federal Government (both the GSA and the NEA) to local community groups. Back
