Hive-Maker believed that someday these lights would swarm into our world, to join the living.

	Here they are, created suddenly in multiple by the collision of stars in the sky. thousands of locals, heading towards you with a scream... actually, they are chasing Mr. Nosferatu, and so though this is a startling encounter, you hope that they will just rush on both sides and above, buffalo stampeding in a lost world. They do look like soldiers from the poison gas corps, and their bodies aren't that much different from those of the vampire they are chasing, so you do have reason to be nervous. Perhaps they are all just rushing towards some door you have accidentally left over behind you when you entered this world. Perhaps the economy of encounters between their world and ours dictates that for every one of us that goes there to visit, 1000 of them can come over here for a few minutes.

Hive-Maker and Ghosts:

Through the lens of a projector, we enter a film.

The year is 1914, and James Hive-Maker, a Spiritualist Cinematographer, has traveled to the Antarctic in order to gather images of the dead. The next year, he travels to the Battle of Ypres, where he finds them floating above clouds of poison gas.

Hive-Maker search is motivated by a belief that the Dead live near to us, illuminated by a moral decay similar to the glow of a radium watch. This light, and their Land, can be made photographically visible. By extension, Hive-Maker hypothesizes that these living lights can visit our world (and that in reverse, we can visit their world).
