A not-so-Negative picture of a Big Valley on the planet where the dead live (The Homestead Act also passed in this other world, so there are plenty of small farms out there). It looks like the bottom of the sea, at night near your feet when you stand in a puddle on the rocks at the edge of the ocean. You think about people on the other side of the planet, who aren't upsidedown exactly, just in a different orientation. If the earth is actually a hollow sphere, and the surface of the planet mapped onto its interior, then your far away cousins in that city you've never visited are above you, the lights of their building blinking in the dark sky. The dead are in such a geographical relation to us, though their planet surface and our relation to it is mapped using a somewhat different topological transform. |
