Two designers attempted to contextualize the Fens, one physically, one within ideas. Rui-ling Zhang explored the relationship between the inside of the park to its the city outside. Ah-Yeon Kim sought to understand how the city how the city chose to memorialize itself and the things and ideas it values, looking at both the memorials within the Fens and the relationship of those memorials to those in the city beyond.
