The
majority of designers chose a historical approach that might be termed 'selective
restoration.' Ah-Yeon Kim, Dana
Hogstedt, Gigi Saltonstall, and Tracey
Miller carefully chose which historical elements or areas had compelling
value for contemporary and historical reasons and redesigned the fabric
around them. They reframed the context within which these landscapes reside.
